Tylene Gall, Dresden Exhibition Ambassador

Hello, my name is Tylene Gall and it has been an honour to represent the Dresden Agricultural Society and the community of Dresden as the 2017/2018 Ambassador this past year. In July 2017, I was selected as Dresden Exhibition Ambassador and looked forward to representing the Dresden Agriculture Society throughout 2017-2018.

I soon realized that there is something very special about representing your small hometown in such an honorary way. I was excited to have been selected as the Dresden Exhibition Ambassador but didn't realize at the time the opportunities, friendships and memories that would be gained.

I graduated from LKCS in June of 2017 and am currently enrolled at the University of Windsor as an Engineering student. I had the opportunity to represent Dresden at a variety of events throughout the year and have gained valuable experience and countless memories. My year began with spending the weekend at the Dresden Exhibition and attending numerous activities and events including 4-H shows, the baby contest and the talent show. There is something so special about being able to wear the tiara and sash in my hometown that I hold so close to my heart and in surrounding communities as I represented the Dresden Agricultural Society. I had the opportunity to attend local events such as the Ridgetown and Brigden fair parades and the Dresden Christmas parade. The Dresden Christmas parade took place on a perfect winter night, making the evening seem so magical. I also went to the safety village and participated in farm safety awareness programs and had the opportunity to speak to the kids.I had alot of fun representing the Dresden Agricutural Society at the Demolition Derby and the Tractor Pull at the Dresden Raceway.I even got to enjoy some delicious Janssens sweet corn at the Dresden Raceway 's season closing event and got to experience harness racing up close and personal with a ride in the pace car. So many good times to reflect on and share.

I have met so many incredible people both inside and outside of our community this past year. I took in the Canadian National Exhibition this summer and attended the CNE Ambassador competition as a spectator with my chaperone, Shirley McKerrall to experience the fair, the Ambassador competition and to learn as much as I could.

My experience as an ambassador is invaluable and I am looking forward to representing our community this August at the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) in Toronto. It has been such an honour representing Dresden and I will carry this experience with me for the rest of my life. I truly believe that the Ambassador competition is symbolic of the values of the Dresden Exhibition and the Dresden Agricultural Society and I hope that I have been a positive role model for future Dresden Ambassadors. would like to thank Lucille Laprise, the Dresden Agricultural Society, Shirley McKerrall, Christal Wills and all the sponsors for everything they have done for me and for making this competition happen. This experience has been truly amazing and I am so proud to be representing our community.
